Roof Rejuvenation with Roof Maxx
Give aging shingles their flexibility back.
As shingles age, they lose the oils that kept them flexible. Roof Maxx is a treatment designed to help restore that flexibility. We'll take a look at your roof first to see if it's a good fit.
How Roof Maxx Works
How Roof Maxx Works
Asphalt shingles contain oils that keep them flexible.
Over time, weather and age wear those oils away.
That's part of why older shingles get brittle.
Roof Maxx penetrates the shingle to replenish those oils.
Before Treatment
First, we look at the roof.
Roof Maxx is intended for asphalt shingle roofs in suitable condition. Roof Maxx says significant structural or water damage, advanced rot, sagging, holes, or large sections of missing or damaged shingles may need repair or replacement first. We'll take a look at your roof to see where it stands.
Roof Maxx treatments include a 5-year flexibility warranty from Roof Maxx.
Common Questions
Roof rejuvenation, answered
What is Roof Maxx?
Roof Maxx is a roof rejuvenation treatment for asphalt shingles. It's designed to penetrate the shingle and replenish oils that diminish as shingles age and weather.
How much longer can Roof Maxx extend the life of a roof?
According to Roof Maxx, one treatment can extend the life of qualifying asphalt shingles by up to five years. Some qualifying roofs may be eligible for additional treatments at five-year intervals, for up to 15 additional years total.
Does every asphalt shingle roof qualify?
No. Roof Maxx says roof condition has to be assessed first. Significant structural or water damage, advanced rot, sagging, holes, or large sections of missing or damaged shingles may need repair or replacement instead. We'll take a look at your roof to see where it stands.
Is Roof Maxx a coating or sealant?
No. Roof Maxx says the treatment penetrates into the asphalt layer rather than creating a coating over the shingles.
What does the 5-year warranty cover?
Roof Maxx's treatments include a 5-year flexibility warranty, covering treated shingles remaining flexible and serviceable. It isn't a general roof or leak warranty, and it doesn't cover things like leaks, granule loss, faulty installation, or weather damage.
